How well can the Radeon RX 480 8GB Crossfire run games
26 Jan 2020 - Graphics card reviewed

A true powerhouse, the Radeon RX 480 8GB Crossfire will run even the most demanding game system requirements released today. Radeon RX 480 8GB Crossfire is capable of DirectX 12 gaming requirements.

Here is a quick game performance synopsis for the AAA games played in 2020. In particular we focus on how well the Radeon RX 480 8GB Crossfire runs at Ultra graphics settings and what frames per second it is getting at 1080p, 1440p and 4K monitor resolutions. This graphics hardware can run 879 of the 1000 most demanding PC games played today.

The 1080p FPS on Ultra for the Radeon RX 480 8GB Crossfire shows us that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is getting a good result of 68 FPS, and then we are seeing Microsoft Flight Simulator predicted to return a reasonable 49 FPS while another game on our list is the Doom Eternal which is predicted to get 80 frames per second at Ultra 1080p.

Moving screen sizes up to 1440p we researched Microsoft Flight Simulator on the Radeon RX 480 8GB Crossfire and predict it will get a playable set of frame rates. Here are the low to ultra predictions at 1440p - L: 98FPS, M: 77FPS, H: 52FPS, U: 37FPS. Another popular game to investigate at 1440p with this card was Doom Eternal which we predicted will be good in performance netting an Ultra FPS of 61 FPS. Finally we then took a look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare where its Ultra 1440p Frame rates were reasonable at 52 FPS. Gaming at 1440p with the Radeon RX 480 8GB Crossfire is certainly capable of running larger monitor gaming at Ultra or High graphics settings.

How many years will the Radeon RX 480 8GB Crossfire graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the Radeon RX 480 8GB Crossfire in your PC? 2-3 years of top end gaming before an upgrade

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the Radeon RX 480 8GB Crossfire? I have crossfire Sapphire Nitro RX 480 4GB. For 1080p and 1440p (and even 3x1080p, triple screen setup like I use) is ok, I've got around/over 60 fps in all the games with preset high/ultra settings but for playing 4k gaming you need to crossfire RX480/RX580 8GB

I dont think it will be enough. you need a 750w PSU with 80 plus bronze certificate, and 2 8pin pci-e connectors. EVGA SuperNOVA NEX750B Bronze Power Supply is the best choice.

and now its 1% slower than GTX 1070 and its not haha sorry mate but its true .. in like 90% of games RX 480 CF is way faster than GTX 1070 and pretty close to GTX 1080 (in few games even surpasing GTX 1080 like Ashes, Hitman) .. RX 480 CF should be somewhere right in between GTX 1070 and 1080 haha :)
