This card will meet and play most demanding AAA games and do so with good graphics setting as standard, and confidently pushing past the recommended game system requirements needed to run today’s games. DirectX 12 gaming system requirements will be met by this gpu.

Lets look at the Radeon RX 480 Armor 8GB game performance guide for some of the biggest games played in 2020. In particular we will see how well this graphics card runs on Ultra settings on 1080p resolution as well as 1440p and 4K. The Radeon RX 480 Armor 8GB can run the recommended graphics system requirements for 652 games today, of the top 1000 most demanding.

Running at 1080p this card gets a good frame rate from Dragon Ball Z Kakarot with 75 FPS on Ultra. Then we take a look at Need For Speed Heat which returns a reasonable 51 FPS. Another title that we looked at is the popular Halo: Reach which we saw getting a strong 161 FPS.

People are turning their increasingly more powerful graphics cards to the popular 1440p screen size so we tested the Radeon RX 480 Armor 8GB to see how it performs on 1440p. First off we have looked at Dragon Ball Z Kakarot where it was reasonable. The frame rates it scored for the game presets were - Low: 150 FPS, Medium: 118 FPS, High: 80 FPS and Ultra: 57 FPS. We added Need For Speed Heat to our tests and saw it was playable with a 39 FPS at Ultra 1440p. And then tested Halo: Reach which got 122 FPS at Ultra 1440p. 1440p Radeon RX 480 Armor 8GB PC gaming is more than capable at running this screen resolution. 1440p Ultra across almost all modern games is going to be fairly standard with this GPU.
