How well can the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KFA2 OC 4GB run games
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KFA2 OC 4GB
10 Aug 2021 - Graphics card reviewed

The GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KFA2 OC 4GB is a very low performing piece of gaming hardware and can probably only run indie system requirements.

DirectX 12 gaming system requirements will be met by this gpu.

What FPS performance can the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KFA2 OC 4GB get on latest AAA 2023 games? In particular our game review looks at the FPS achieved running on Ultra graphics settings on the 1080p screen resolution as well as 1440p and 4K. The GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KFA2 OC 4GB can run the recommended graphics system requirements for 223 games today, of the top 1000 most demanding.

Now onto the frame rates achieved at 1080p. We predict that Grand Theft Auto VI will get 0 FPS with the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KFA2 OC 4GB, Forza Horizon 5 getting 2 FPS and FIFA 22 getting 58 frames per second. All run on Ultra at 1920x1080 screen res.

Moving screen sizes up to 1440p we researched Grand Theft Auto VI on the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KFA2 OC 4GB and predict it will get a weak set of frame rates. Here are the low to ultra predictions at 1440p - L: 0FPS, M: 0FPS, H: 0FPS, U: 0FPS. Another popular game to test at 1440p with this card was Forza Horizon 5 which seemed weak in performance netting an Ultra FPS of 2 FPS. Finally we then took a look at FIFA 22 where its Ultra 1440p Frame rates were playable at 44 FPS. In summary we feel the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KFA2 OC 4GB running at 1440p is going to struggle to keep a solid FPS, but a modern game could have a few options tweaked to get it playable at this res but on low graphics settings.

How many years will the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KFA2 OC 4GB graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KFA2 OC 4GB in your PC? 12-18 months of top end gaming is still left in this graphics card

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KFA2 OC 4GB? If you are thinking of upgrading this graphics card then we would currently suggest the RX 5000 Series Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB. This PC hardware upgrade performs 55% better and can run 716 of today’s 1000 most demanding PC games. An alternative great upgrade graphics card would be a RX 5000 Series Radeon RX 5300, which has 24% better performance and can run 300 of the top 1000 demanding game requirements today.

GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KFA2 OC 4GB Game Requirement Analysis

KFA2's 4GB GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC is their slightly overclocked version of Nvidia's lower end graphics card. It is competing against AMDs more affordable gaming cards, like the newer RX 470. This card features a non stock cooler and an overclocked core speed.

The Pascal Architecture aims for twice as much performance as the Maxwell Architecture and introduces support for second gen HBM.

It equips a GPU codenamed GP107-400 which has 6 SM activated and 768 Shader Processing Units, 48 TMUs and 32 ROPs. The central unit runs at 1303MHz and goes up to 1417MHz when the Boost Clock is triggered in game.

The GPU accesses a 4GB frame buffer of fast GDDR5, through a 128-bit memory interface, while the Memory Clock Operates at 3504MHz.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 75W, it relies entirely on the PCI Slot for power, meaning no extra connectors are required despite it's overclocked core speed.

The GTX 1050 Ti OC by KFA2 will enable mid level graphics performance on modern AAA 2016 released games. Although there will be variations on this frame rate we expect this card to deliver around 58+ FPS on medium graphics settings at a 1080p screen resolution.
Comparatively, this card will be ever so slightly faster than the performance of the outgoing GTX 960

System Suggestions
The KFA2 GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC is best suited for resolutions up to and including 1920x1080. We recommend a modern CPU like the i5-6500 and 8GB of RAM for minimal system bottleneck.
