How well can the Radeon RX 560 2GB run games
14 Nov 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

One of the more powerful mid range graphics cards, the Radeon RX 560 2GB might struggle sometimes with the more system demanding game requirements. All games with system requirements of DirectX 12 or lower are met by this card.

Here is a quick game performance synopsis for the AAA games played in 2019. In particular we focus on how well the Radeon RX 560 2GB runs at Ultra graphics settings and what frames per second it is getting at 1080p, 1440p and 4K monitor resolutions. The Radeon RX 560 2GB can run the recommended graphics system requirements for 333 games today, of the top 1000 most demanding.

First we looked at 1080p resolution for the Radeon RX 560 2GB performance to explore what sort of benchmarks it would achieve on the popular title Death Stranding and predict it will deliver weak frames per second across the following graphics settings - Low: 0 FPS, Medium: 0 FPS, High: 0 FPS and Ultra: 0 FPS. We proceeded to look at Red Dead Redemption 2 to see how that compared and saw that it returned a playable 29 FPS at Ultra 1080p.

As the PC gaming masses explore larger screen resolutions we decided to run some game checks at 1440p across a few popular games. We predict the Radeon RX 560 2GB will run the upcoming game Death Stranding to a weak performance level. Predictions across the graphics settings looked like this, Low: 0 FPS, Medium: 0 FPS, High: 0 FPS and Ultra: 0 FPS. Another game tested was Red Dead Redemption 2, L: 57FPS, M: 45FPS, H: 30FPS, U: 22FPS. And then we researched potential graphics card performance on Diablo 4, wih estimates revealing L: 0FPS, M: 0FPS, H: 0FPS, U: 0FPS at 1440p. In summary we feel the Radeon RX 560 2GB running at 1440p is unable to perform adequately across modern games at this increased resolution.

How many years will the Radeon RX 560 2GB graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the Radeon RX 560 2GB in your PC? This Radeon RX 560 2GB card has 12 to 18 months of latest AAA game play left in it before upgrading should be considered

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the Radeon RX 560 2GB? If you want an upgrade suggestion for the Radeon RX 560 2GB then a good choice would be 16 Series GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6GB as this is better than 896 of the top 1000 most demanding game requirements with 88% better performance as well. Alternatively a suitable upgrade choice for the Radeon RX 560 2GB is the RX 5000 Series Radeon RX 5500 4GB, which is 41% more powerful and can run 685 of the 1000 most demanding PC games beating their recommended requirements.
