How well can the Radeon RX 560 Sapphire Pulse OC 4GB run games
12 Jan 2020 - Graphics card reviewed

One of the more powerful mid range graphics cards, the Radeon RX 560 Sapphire Pulse OC 4GB might struggle sometimes with the more system demanding game requirements. All games with system requirements of DirectX 12 or lower are met by this card.

What FPS performance can the Radeon RX 560 Sapphire Pulse OC 4GB get on latest AAA 2020 games? In particular our game review looks at the FPS achieved running on Ultra graphics settings on the 1080p screen resolution as well as 1440p and 4K. In terms of performance against the most demanding games today this graphics card can play 270 of the 1000 most demanding PC games beating their recommended requirements.

The Radeon RX 560 Sapphire Pulse OC 4GB graphics card is returning a strong performance on FIFA 20 at 1080p of 110 frames per second at Ultra graphics settings. Another popular title that is good to benchmark graphics cards against is Red Dead Redemption 2 which we saw got playable frame rates of 32 FPS. A third game we can look at on Ultra at 1080p is the popular Halo: Reach, which was getting 115 FPS under tests.

One of the growing popular screen resolutions for PC gaming is the wider 1440p. So we wanted to see how well the Radeon RX 560 Sapphire Pulse OC 4GB performed at 1440p by taking a look at some of the current popular games. First we looked at FIFA 20 and saw it deliver strong frames per second across the following graphics settings - Low: 188 FPS, Medium: 157 FPS, High: 115 FPS and Ultra: 84 FPS. We then checked the performance on Red Dead Redemption 2 to see if that runs well. It was weak with a 24 FPS at Ultra 1440p. 1440p Radeon RX 560 Sapphire Pulse OC 4GB PC gaming is more than capable at running this screen resolution. 1440p Ultra across almost all modern games is going to be fairly standard with this GPU. We would consider moving this hardware up to 4K screen resolutions for PC gaming today.

How many years will the Radeon RX 560 Sapphire Pulse OC 4GB graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the Radeon RX 560 Sapphire Pulse OC 4GB in your PC? 12-18 months of top end gaming is still left in this graphics card

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the Radeon RX 560 Sapphire Pulse OC 4GB? If you want an upgrade suggestion for the Radeon RX 560 Sapphire Pulse OC 4GB then a good choice would be 16 Series GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB as this is better than 882 of the top 1000 most demanding game requirements with 84% better performance as well. I choose between this card and Radeon R9 380. On other hardware sites R9 380 rated much higher then RX 560. But then this potal gives 8.8 points to RX 560 and 8.4 points to R9 380. So is that true? What card really better?
