How well can the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti run games
2 Aug 2020 - Graphics card reviewed

A true powerhouse, the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti will run even the most demanding game system requirements released today. Capable of running games with up to a DirectX 12 requirement.

Game performance for the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti where we look at the bigger games played in 2020. Looking closely at the graphics card frame rate performance on Ultra graphics settings at 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions. We look at 1000 of the most demanding games available today and this GPU is better than the recommended graphics requirement of more than 946 games in the list.

Now onto the frame rates achieved at 1080p. We predict that Halo Infinite will get 53 FPS with the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti, Marvel's Avengers predicted to get 53 FPS and Grounded getting 69 frames per second. All run on Ultra at 1920x1080 screen res.

Next up we increase screen res tests to accommodate the growing in popularity 1440p screen size. So we researched the upcoming Halo Infinite to predict how the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti would deal with it. Our research revealed a playable series of FPS results across these graphics presets - Low: 106 FPS, Medium: 83 FPS, High: 56 FPS and Ultra: 40 FPS. Next we looked at Marvel's Avengers which we predict will be playable with a 40 FPS at Ultra 1440p. And finally looked at Grounded that got an Ultra 1440p FPS of 52. Getting popular modern games to run at 1440p on the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti is certainly capable of running larger monitor gaming at Ultra or High graphics settings.

How many years will the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti in your PC? No graphics card upgrade required for 2 to 3 years of meeting top end game system requirements

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti? Upgrading this graphics card would have us consider the 20 Series GeForce RTX 2070 Super 8GB which is 24% more powerful. This upgrade choice can also run 992 games from the most demanding games today. Alternatively if you are thinking of upgrading this graphics card then we would currently suggest the RX 5000 Series Radeon RX 5800 XT. This PC hardware upgrade performs 21% better and can run 991 of today’s 1000 most demanding PC games.
