Capable of running games with up to a DirectX 12 requirement.

Game performance for the GeForce GTX 1060 5GB where we look at the bigger games played in 2022. Looking closely at the graphics card frame rate performance on Ultra graphics settings at 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions. When considering how well this graphics card can run the 1000 most demanding games available today it can best 450 of the games’ recommended graphics requirements.

Running at 1080p this card gets a weak frame rate from Battlefield 2042 with 15 FPS on Ultra. Then we take a look at Grand Theft Auto VI which is predicted to return a playable 27 FPS. Another title that we looked at is the popular Days Gone which we saw getting a reasonable 48 FPS.

Next up we increase screen res tests to accommodate the growing in popularity 1440p screen size. So we booted up Battlefield 2042 to see how the GeForce GTX 1060 5GB dealt with it. It scored up a weak series of FPS results across these graphics presets - Low: 30 FPS, Medium: 24 FPS, High: 16 FPS and Ultra: 11 FPS.
