This is a strong benchmarker on modern games and can often return excellent frame rates at high and ultra 1080p. But the GeForce RTX 2070 Inno3D iChill X3 Jekyll 8GB can also run 1440p pc system requirements.

Capable of running games with up to a DirectX 12 requirement.

We take a look at game performance achieved on this graphics card when running 2023 popular games. This short GeForce RTX 2070 Inno3D iChill X3 Jekyll 8GB game hardware review looks at the graphics card frame rate performance on Ultra graphics settings at 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions. We look at 1000 of the most demanding games available today and this GPU is better than the recommended graphics requirement of more than 983 games in the list.

Now onto the frame rates achieved at 1080p. We predict that Grand Theft Auto VI will get 57 FPS with the GeForce RTX 2070 Inno3D iChill X3 Jekyll 8GB, Star Citizen predicted to get 91 FPS and Resident Evil 8 getting 62 frames per second. All run on Ultra at 1920x1080 screen res.

Moving screen sizes up to 1440p we researched Grand Theft Auto VI on the GeForce RTX 2070 Inno3D iChill X3 Jekyll 8GB and predict it will get a playable set of frame rates. Here are the low to ultra predictions at 1440p - L: 115FPS, M: 90FPS, H: 61FPS, U: 43FPS. Another popular game to investigate at 1440p with this card was Star Citizen which we predicted will be good in performance netting an Ultra FPS of 69 FPS. Finally we then took a look at Resident Evil 8 where its Ultra 1440p Frame rates were reasonable at 47 FPS. Gaming at 1440p with the GeForce RTX 2070 Inno3D iChill X3 Jekyll 8GB is a good choice of hardware for increased screen resolution gaming. We can see this graphics card is capable of delivering reliable frame rates at Ultra and certainly High graphics settings at 1440p.

GeForce RTX 2070 Inno3D iChill X3 Jekyll 8GB Game Requirement Analysis

Overview The GeForce RTX 2070 Inno3D iChill X3 Jekyll 8GB is a High-End Graphics Card based on the 12nm Turing Architecture and is considered a great 1440p video card. This is a triple-slot graphics card with a unique switchable cooling system. The fan facia can be switched from three 90mm Sythe blade fan cooling to a twin 100m Turbine blade cooler setup for quieter operation. It also has RGB lighting and AI temperature control. This video card has good overclocking potential. Architecture It equips a cut-down Turing GPU Codenamed TU106, more specifically the TU106-400A-A1 variant which is permitted for a factory overclock. This is a First Gen Turing GPU and has 16 SM activated, offering 2304 CUDA Shader Processing Units, 144 TMUs, and 64 ROPs. The Turing architecture provides the world's first consumer support for real-time ray-tracing (RTX) technology. It is equipped with 288 Tensor Cores for AI purposes and 32 RT Cores for ray-tracing. GPU The central unit runs at 1410 MHz and goes up to 1815 MHz in Boost Mode, providing a large 12% overclock versus the reference model. Memory The GPU accesses an 8GB frame buffer of Second Gen GDDR6 through a 256-bit memory interface, while the Memory Clock Operates at 1750MHz, or 14GHz effective. Total memory bandwidth is 448GB/s. Power Consumption With a rated board TDP of 205W, it requires at least a 650W PSU with one available 8-pin and one 6-pin power connector. Performance The GeForce RTX 2070 offers performance in between the GeForce GTX 1080 and GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, albeit also boasting ray-tracing and DLSS support. System Suggestions The GeForce RTX 2070 Inno3D iChill X3 Jekyll 8GB is best suited for resolutions up to and including 3840x2160. We recommend a high-end processor and 16GB of RAM for optimal performance.
