GeForce GTX 1660 Ti MSI Gaming X 6GB Game Requirement Analysis

Overview GeForce GTX 1660 Ti MSI Gaming X 6GB is a mid-range GeForce 16 Series graphics card and considered a great price to performance 1080p graphics card based on the Turing architecture. This is a dual-slot graphics card with dual 100mm Torx 3.0 fan cooling, Zero Frozr fan noise eliminator, anti-bend backplate, and RGB Mystic Light support. This video card has good overclocking potential. Architecture The Turing architecture represents a process shrink down to 12nm compared to 14nm Pascal. Unlike the RTX series, the GTX series does not support real-time ray-tracing. However, a lower quality version of DXR ray-tracing will be enabled in a future software update. GPU It equips a Turing GPU codenamed TU116, more specifically TU116-400-A1, which has 1536 Shader Processing Units, 96 TMUs, 48 ROPs, and 24 SMs. The central unit runs at 1500 MHz and goes up to 1875 MHz in Boost mode, providing a 6% overclock versus the reference model. Memory The GPU accesses a 6GB frame buffer of first-gen GDDR6 memory through a 192-bit memory interface, while the Memory clock operates at 1500MHz, or 12GHz effective. Power Consumption With a rated board TDP of 130W, it requires at least a 450W PSU with an 8-pin power connector. System Suggestions GeForce GTX 1660 Ti MSI Gaming X 6GB is best suited for resolutions up to and including 2560x1440, but is ideally suited for 1080p gaming. We recommend a mid-range Processor and at least 16GB of RAM for optimal performance.
