AMD Radeon RX 590 Sapphire Pulse 8GB
10 Aug 2021 - Graphics card reviewed

While some games have more powerful requirements than this GPU, the Radeon RX 590 Sapphire Pulse 8GB is only really challenged by the most demanding games released today, but normally it is more than capable of running games with a stable frame rate at 1080p.

Radeon RX 590 Sapphire Pulse 8GB is capable of DirectX 12 gaming requirements.

This PC hardware performance game review for the Radeon RX 590 Sapphire Pulse 8GB graphics card, when running 2021 more popular games, lets us see what type of FPS this card gets when playing at 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions and ultra settings. We look at 1000 of the most demanding games available today and this GPU is better than the recommended graphics requirement of more than 763 games in the list.

First we looked at 1080p resolution for the Radeon RX 590 Sapphire Pulse 8GB performance to explore what sort of benchmarks it would achieve on the popular title Grand Theft Auto VI and predict it will deliver playable frames per second across the following graphics settings - Low: 81 FPS, Medium: 63 FPS, High: 43 FPS and Ultra: 31 FPS. We proceeded to look at Star Citizen to see how that compared and predict that it will return a good 62 FPS at Ultra 1080p.

Next up we increase screen res tests to accommodate the growing in popularity 1440p screen size. So we researched the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI to predict how the Radeon RX 590 Sapphire Pulse 8GB would deal with it. Our research revealed a weak series of FPS results across these graphics presets - Low: 61 FPS, Medium: 48 FPS, High: 33 FPS and Ultra: 23 FPS. Next we looked at Star Citizen which we predict will be reasonable with a 47 FPS at Ultra 1440p. And finally looked at Resident Evil 8 that got an Ultra 1440p FPS of 23. Getting popular modern games to run at 1440p on the Radeon RX 590 Sapphire Pulse 8GB is ok at playing most games but might need to have the graphics settings lowered to medium preset in some cases.
