How well can the Radeon RX 590 Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB run games
AMD Radeon RX 590 Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB
10 Aug 2021 - Graphics card reviewed

While some games have more powerful requirements than this GPU, the Radeon RX 590 Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB is only really challenged by the most demanding games released today, but normally it is more than capable of running games with a stable frame rate at 1080p.

Radeon RX 590 Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB is capable of DirectX 12 gaming requirements.

We take a look at game performance achieved on this graphics card when running 2021 popular games. This short Radeon RX 590 Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB game hardware review looks at the graphics card frame rate performance on Ultra graphics settings at 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions. This card runs recommended graphics requirements of 762 games from the top 1000 most demanding games being played today.

The 1080p FPS on Ultra for the Radeon RX 590 Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB shows us that Dying Light 2 is predicted to get a playable result of 38 FPS, and then we are seeing Battlefield 2042 predicted to return a weak 24 FPS while another game on our list is the Back 4 Blood which is getting 50 frames per second at Ultra 1080p.

Next up we increase screen res tests to accommodate the growing in popularity 1440p screen size. So we researched the upcoming Battlefield 2042 to predict how the Radeon RX 590 Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB would deal with it. Our research revealed a weak series of FPS results across these graphics presets - Low: 48 FPS, Medium: 38 FPS, High: 26 FPS and Ultra: 18 FPS. Next we looked at Back 4 Blood which was playable with a 38 FPS at Ultra 1440p. And finally looked at Dying Light 2 that we predict will get an Ultra 1440p FPS of 29. Gaming at 1440p with the Radeon RX 590 Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB is a suitable graphics card for this larger screen res. In some cases we might expect some graphics option tweaks down from Ultra to High to help improve FPS stability when gaming at 1440p.
