Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super Galax 8GB
10 Aug 2021 - Graphics card reviewed

This computer hardware provides top end graphics. The GeForce RTX 2060 Super Galax 8GB will easily meet recommended system requirements of games released today. This is a strong benchmarker on modern games and can often return excellent frame rates at high and ultra 1080p. But the GeForce RTX 2060 Super Galax 8GB can also run 1440p pc system requirements.

GeForce RTX 2060 Super Galax 8GB is capable of DirectX 12 gaming requirements.

Here is a performance review on how capable the GeForce RTX 2060 Super Galax 8GB is at running the more popular games of 2022. Specifically looking at this PC hardware’s ability to get suitable frames per second to play on Ultra game settings and what FPS it might get on 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen res. This graphics hardware can run 977 of the 1000 most demanding PC games played today.

Looking at some of the modern popular games people are playing today the GeForce RTX 2060 Super Galax 8GB is running Days Gone and delivering good performances on 1080p Ultra, getting 78 frames per second. Comparing this to FIFA 22 which is getting strong results, where it averages 136 FPS. Another popular game we looked at is Star Citizen, which is predicted to run at 83 frames per second.

As the PC gaming masses explore larger screen resolutions we decided to run some game checks at 1440p across a few popular games. We discovered the GeForce RTX 2060 Super Galax 8GB ran Days Gone to a reasonable performance level. Results across the graphics settings looked like this, Low: 157 FPS, Medium: 124 FPS, High: 83 FPS and Ultra: 59 FPS. Another game tested was FIFA 22, L: 273FPS, M: 215FPS, H: 145FPS, U: 103FPS. And then we researched potential graphics card performance on Star Citizen, wih estimates revealing L: 167FPS, M: 132FPS, H: 89FPS, U: 63FPS at 1440p. Getting popular modern games to run at 1440p on the GeForce RTX 2060 Super Galax 8GB is probably one of the better high resolution gaming options on the graphics card market. You can consider pushing most games up to 4K with this gpu and Ultra 1440p is going to be a regular occurrence for gaming today.

How many years will the GeForce RTX 2060 Super Galax 8GB graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce RTX 2060 Super Galax 8GB in your PC? No graphics card upgrade required for 2 to 3 years of meeting top end game system requirements

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce RTX 2060 Super Galax 8GB? There are no graphics cards on the current market that would provide a big enough increase in performance to warrant upgrading the GeForce RTX 2060 Super Galax 8GB.

GeForce RTX 2060 Super Galax 8GB Game Requirement Analysis

Overview GeForce RTX 2060 Super Galax 8GB is a mid to high-range GeForce 20 Series graphics card and considered a great price to performance graphics card based on the Turing architecture. This is the 'Super' variant of the RTX 2060 and utilises a cut-down version of the RTX 2070 GPU. It is a 2-slot graphics card with a rudimentary blower fan cooling solution. This graphics card has poor overclocking potential. Architecture The Turing architecture represents a process shrink down to 12nm when compared to 14nm Pascal. The Turing architecture provides the world's first consumer support for real-time ray-tracing technology, or RTX. The GeForce RTX 2060 Super Galax 8GB supports real-time ray-tracing and excels at 1080p and 1440p screen resolutions. GPU It equips a Turing GPU codenamed TU106-410-A which has 2176 Shader Processing Units, 136 TMUs and 64 ROPs. The central unit runs at 1470 MHz and goes up to 1650 MHz in Boost mode, the same speed as the reference model. Memory The GPU accesses an 8GB frame buffer of first-gen GDDR6 memory through a 256-bit memory interface, while the Memory clock operates at 1750MHz, or 14GHz effective. This provides total memory bandwidth of 448 GB/s. Power Consumption With a rated board TDP of 175W, it requires at least a 550W PSU with an 8-pin power connector. System Suggestions GeForce RTX 2060 Super Galax 8GB is best suited for resolutions up to and including 2560x1440. We recommend a mid-range Processor and at least 16GB of RAM for optimal performance.
