Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q
10 Aug 2021 - Graphics card reviewed

This computer hardware provides top end graphics. The GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q will easily meet recommended system requirements of games released today. This is a strong benchmarker on modern games and can often return excellent frame rates at high and ultra 1080p. But the GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q can also run 1440p pc system requirements.

All games with system requirements of DirectX 12 or lower are met by this card.

This PC hardware performance game review for the GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q graphics card, when running 2023 more popular games, lets us see what type of FPS this card gets when playing at 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions and ultra settings. We look at 1000 of the most demanding games available today and this GPU is better than the recommended graphics requirement of more than 968 games in the list.

The 1080p FPS on Ultra for the GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q shows us that Dying Light 2 is getting a reasonable result of 53 FPS, and then we are seeing Battlefield 2042 returning a reasonable 46 FPS while another game on our list is the Forza Horizon 5 which is getting 58 frames per second at Ultra 1080p.

Moving screen sizes up to 1440p we ran Battlefield 2042 on the GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q to see that it got a playable set of frame rates. Here are the low to ultra results at 1440p - L: 92FPS, M: 72FPS, H: 49FPS, U: 35FPS. Another popular game to test at 1440p with this card was Forza Horizon 5 which seemed playable in performance netting an Ultra FPS of 44 FPS. Finally we then took a look at Dying Light 2 where its Ultra 1440p Frame rates were playable at 40 FPS. After a look at the popular games running at 1440p with the GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q, this is capable of delivering a solid gaming experience across larger screen sized monitors. We expect to see High and Ultra graphics settings across most games at 1440p with this GPU.

How many years will the GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q in your PC? 2-3 years of top end gaming before an upgrade

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q? There are no graphics cards on the current market that would provide a big enough increase in performance to warrant upgrading the GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q.
