This is a strong benchmarker on modern games and can often return excellent frame rates at high and ultra 1080p. But the Radeon RX 5700 XT Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB can also run 1440p pc system requirements.

All games with system requirements of DirectX 12 or lower are met by this card.

We take a look at game performance achieved on this graphics card when running 2022 popular games. This short Radeon RX 5700 XT Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB game hardware review looks at the graphics card frame rate performance on Ultra graphics settings at 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions. In terms of performance against the most demanding games today this graphics card can play 990 of the 1000 most demanding PC games beating their recommended requirements.

First we looked at 1080p resolution for the Radeon RX 5700 XT Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB performance to explore what sort of benchmarks it would achieve on the popular title Resident Evil 8 and saw it deliver reasonable frames per second across the following graphics settings - Low: 145 FPS, Medium: 114 FPS, High: 77 FPS and Ultra: 55 FPS. We proceeded to look at Days Gone to see how that compared and saw that it returned a strong 87 FPS at Ultra 1080p.

Next up we increase screen res tests to accommodate the growing in popularity 1440p screen size. So we booted up Resident Evil 8 to see how the Radeon RX 5700 XT Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB dealt with it. It scored up a playable series of FPS results across these graphics presets - Low: 111 FPS, Medium: 87 FPS, High: 59 FPS and Ultra: 42 FPS. Next we looked at Days Gone which was good with a 66 FPS at Ultra 1440p. And finally looked at Star Citizen that we predict will get an Ultra 1440p FPS of 66. Looking at a few of these 1440p results for the Radeon RX 5700 XT Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB we get the impression that it is one of the more powerful graphics cards for this monitor resolution. Games will be running with stable frame rates at Ultra on a 1440p setup. 4K gaming for a number of modern games should also be considered with this graphics hardware.

How many years will the Radeon RX 5700 XT Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the Radeon RX 5700 XT Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB in your PC? No graphics card upgrade required for 2 to 3 years of meeting top end game system requirements

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the Radeon RX 5700 XT Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB? There are no graphics cards on the current market that would provide a big enough increase in performance to warrant upgrading the Radeon RX 5700 XT Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB.

Radeon RX 5700 XT Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB Game Requirement Analysis

Overview
The AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB is an Enthusiast gaming Graphics Card based on the first (1.0) Revision of the RDNA Architecture.

Architecture
The Navi 10 XL GPU offers support for GDDR6 Memory, DirectX 12.0, Vulkan 1.0, and OpenGL 4.5. This variant of the Navi 10 XL GPU features 40 Compute Units activated, offering 2560 Shader Processing Units, 160 TMUs and 64 ROPs. The GPU features a 1770 MHz base clock speed and up to 2010 MHz with boost clock, making it an estimated 15% faster than a Radeon RX Vega 64. This puts its predicted performance roughly in line with the GeForce RTX 2080.

GPU
The Central Unit is clocked at 1770 MHz, rising to 2010 MHz with boost clock enabled.

Memory: Speed
The GPU is equipped with high-speed GDDR6 and accesses the Frame Buffer through a 256-bit memory interface, providing total memory bandwidth of 448 GB/s.

Memory: Frame Buffer
The GPU can fill up a Memory Pool of up to 8GB. Under most circumstances, this only proves useful in certain 3D Games whose Settings Require Large Amounts of Memory.
However, the GPU itself is aimed for 4K Gaming, In some limited scenarios, 8GB might be a bottleneck and Performance could be better were the Frame Buffer larger, however this would only be an issue in the most demanding games.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 265W, it requires at least a 600W PSU with one available 8+8-pin connector.

Performance
The AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB competes with GeForce RTX 2070 8GB, which is available for $599.
Specs currently available suggest the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB performance should be in the same region as the GeForce RTX 2070.
System Suggestions
The AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB is best suited for resolutions up to and including 3840 x2160 (4K). For the most demanding AAA games it should be ideally suited to 4K. We recommend a Very Strong Processor and at least 16GB of RAM for Optimal Performance.
