Radeon HD 6970M Game Requirement Analysis
Radeon HD 6970M is a high-end GPU based on the 40nm Terrascale 2 architecture.
It's based on the Barts Core (therefore related to Radeon HD 6850) and offers 980 Shader Processing Units, 48 TMUs and 32 ROPs on a 256-bit memory interface of fast GDDR5. Its central clock runs at 680MHz and the memory clock operates at 900MHz.
Despite being based on the same Core used on Radeon HD 6850, its performance is more comparable to Radeon HD 6790 due to being heavily underclocked.
Most of today's modern games are playable at the highest settings but some exceptions will require lower resolutions or modest presets to be played optimally.
