How well can the GeForce GTX 590 Zotac Edition run games
Nvidia GeForce GTX 590 Zotac Edition
10 Aug 2021 - Graphics card reviewed

The GeForce GTX 590 Zotac Edition is a very low performing piece of gaming hardware and can probably only run indie system requirements.

This card meets game requirements up to DirectX 11.

Here we take a closer look at the various performances across 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions for the GeForce GTX 590 Zotac Edition. In particular this is looking at the Ultra graphics settings to see what sort of FPS this graphics card can get across some of the more popular games played in 2023. This graphics hardware can run 232 of the 1000 most demanding PC games played today.

With 1080p being the most common gaming resolution at the moment we explored how well the GeForce GTX 590 Zotac Edition can run Days Gone at 1080p and saw it return playable frame rates at the following graphics settings - Low: 67 FPS, Medium: 53 FPS, High: 36 FPS and Ultra: 26 FPS. For performance contrast we can see that Battlefield 2042 returns a weak 0 FPS at Ultra 1080p.

Next up we increase screen res tests to accommodate the growing in popularity 1440p screen size. So we booted up Days Gone to see how the GeForce GTX 590 Zotac Edition dealt with it. It scored up a weak series of FPS results across these graphics presets - Low: 51 FPS, Medium: 40 FPS, High: 27 FPS and Ultra: 19 FPS. Next we looked at Battlefield 2042 which was weak with a 0 FPS at Ultra 1440p. And finally looked at FIFA 22 that got an Ultra 1440p FPS of 45. Running games at 1440p with a GeForce GTX 590 Zotac Edition is going to need to lower its graphics settings to medium on modern games.
