Hi, I am wondering if this card or say a 650 ti boost or 660/ti would work with my motherboard which is a gigabyte z68p-ds3. Could someone let me know, as I am looking to buy one of those cards but not sure if it will be compatible with my mobo.

I'm not really keen on technicalyty, but your motherboard shouldn't matter.
A GPU should be compatable with every motherboard, DDR2/3 doesn't matter.
Too add if ur picking from the HD7850/650ti/660ti definetly pick the 660 ti. The 192 memory bit wouldn't be a problem. The card is the strongest of the 3. :)

considering this gpu is only a little bit better than yours than yes, but you're better off getting a 7870 ghz edition card by also selling your current one :) they're probly like $250-300 max :) and you could probly get $50-150 for yours :)

your CPU is good enough, it can handle this GPU without any problem. But i'm not so sure about the PSU though, because this GPU needs 500 watt PSU to run as described above.

Thank you for your reply.
I understood that it requires 500W.
But i assumed that my other pc components arent using so much power.
So this card which requires a Max power of 130W might work well.
Thats why i asked that question.
I need some more help.

hey guys just as a heads up i used to have the corsair cx500m. check my rig, i was under powering by nearly 100w when i checked on a psu calculator, PC was black screening and rebooting every time i played any games for 20 mins or so. i would really suggest getting something more powerful. i know my amd cpu uses more juice than your i5 but still i would personally buy something more like the corsair cx750m just to make sure

yup :) don't take the risk, because if you risk it it might give you BSOD for not being able to get more power (trust me, my old crappy 500w PSU keeps gettin' me BSOD) and worst case of scenario is that the other components of your PC's might get damaged..
