most demanding games require more GPU performance than CPU and it becomes more noticeable over time(not all of them, but most). i came to conclusion that it's good to have better GPU than CPU for future proof.

So, I'm planning on buying a new CPU, GPU, and Motherboard, and I wanted to know if a GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1060 Xtreme Gaming 6GB Video card would be a good match with this CPU. As for the motherboard, I have no clue on what to get.

I would have suggested gtx 760 coz its a great gpu but its pretty much unavailable these days so for you a gtx 960 or 970 will be suitable depending on what resolution you wanna play….for 1080p both 960 and 970 will be good but at 4k res 970 4gb rocks! :-)

What temps are normal for this cpu? I get 75C when running heavy games and when i did a stress test (100% load + 4 threads) I got up to 90C. Are these temps normal or too high? I am planning on getting an extra fan in the system and maybe an aftermarket cooler.

They are. Those temps are not high compared to my cpu( i5 3230m). I get max temperatures about 70-80C. And on intel's site it says that the max temp is 105C. So I consider it ok.

Yes it is faster than the 6350 and it also leaves room for an i-7 upgrade which is a definite speed/ performance boost. If you have the money and might want to upgrade to an i-7 then yeah go for this.

You can with a good mobo. It would automatically underclock it to 1600MHz, but you could overclock it back to 1866MHz in the BIOS.

It shoudn't, but be aware that it is not officially supported. I believe it's done rather regularly, so it should be safe , but I haven't tried it myself yet.
