Core i5-7600K 3.8GHz Game Requirement Analysis

The specific performance specs for this high end Intel CPU are still unconfirmed, but some benchmarks are starting to appear.
The Core i5-7600K 4-Core 3.8GHz is a high-end CPU based on the 14nm, Kaby Lake micro architecture.

It offers 4 physical cores (8 logical), initially clocked at 3.8GHz, which may go up and 8MB of L3 Cache.
Among its many features, HyperThreading, Turbo Boost 2.0 and Virtualization are activated and the processor has its multiplier unlocked.

This CPU is likely to offer exceptional computational performance and will not be the bottleneck in any modern gaming PC. It will be able to play all modern games comfortably on high/ultra graphics performance without being a hindrance to the accompanying GPU.

Holy , this CPU is pure blessing. While it isn't cheap, it's probably the best i5 ever made. The 8th gen was too expensive, and needed a new mobo too.

Yes, but you would need a new MB as the socket for your CPU is 1155 and the 7600K is 1151.

My honest opinion, no. Not big enough upgrade to be really worth it.

Thank you, I´ll wait for Ryzen 5 lineup to see if an upgrade for a six core might be worth it.

If there both the same price go for this one for it's slightly higher clock speed and higher oc. However if you can get a used 6600k for a bit cheaper might as well go for that as the difference is minor around %5.

i5 7600k - seeing it for £240 online

7600k is 14% better according to game debate

Am I missing something? What have Intel been doing for the past 3 years? Performance per £ going backwar

smaller die size is what they are aiming for i guess, lack of competition ( untilnow maybe).

I believe the Kaby Lake CPUs will be released on January 5th not 30th. Plus, this was benchmarked and confirmed that it's around 9% faster than the 6600k so it's strange how the system reqs on the right are the same as the 6600k.
