I have mine overclocked to 4.8 Ghz. What percentage increase would that be? Do we work it out from 3.7Ghz or 4.3Ghz? Thanks

Yeah. Some Ryzen people (Perhaps Fanboys?) don't understand that.

I'm selling my X299 setup to get CF-L. 8700K/Z370 Hero + some 4000-4133 mhz RAM. Will be a beast once delidded and under water.

I had a Ryzen 1700 on a X370 CH6, was not good for 144 hz gaming. But Ryzen is good for sub 100 hz gaming I guess..

I saw a benchmark video where i7 8700k is about 15-20 fps faster on average in games compared to Ryzen 1800x which is almost 100$ more expensive than i7 8700k (at least in my country). For gaming, there is currently NOTHING better in terms of price/performance value than i7 8700k. I'm guessing Ryzen is better suited

Even for multithreaded applications, the 8700K can be better than te Ryzen 7 chips.

Call me a fanboy if you want, but remember that I've actually owned Ryzen for several months. ;-)

Lol I deffinitely wouldn't call you a fanboy :)
Compared to Ryzen 7 1700 and 1700x, i7 8700k has faster multi threaded performance. Not sure about 1800x though.
Like you, I'm extremely happy with my 8700k and my new build :)

Hi!

I've owned a 1700 OCed with a CH6. The 1700 was not even close to a 8700K. 8700K is just alot better than any Ryzen CPUs.

I am really glad that I got rid of my Ryzen CPU at least. :-)
