Pentium G850 2.9GHz Game Requirement Analysis

Pentium G850 2.9GHz is a budget processor based on the 32nm, Sandy Bridge architecture.

It offers 2 Physical Cores (2 Logical), clocked at 2.9GHz and 3MB of L3 Cache.
Among its many features, Virtualization is activated.

The processor integrates very weak Graphics called Intel HD Graphics Desktop (Bay Trail), with 6 Execution Units, initially clocked at 850MHz and that go up to 1100MHz, in Turbo Mode which share the L2 Cache and system RAM with the processor.
Both the processor and integrated graphics have a rated board TDP of 65W.

It offers average performance. This means it will become a bottleneck in some demanding applications.

Although this cpu would bottleneck the 560 by a small bit

Your cpu have 1700 clock cycles per second, so by over-clocking you exceed your cpu speed set by manufacturer

I have this CPU for some time and I must say,it performs very good in games for its price. However, you cant overclock this one. Just a bit, but thats a very small performance increase..

Ya, even though this is a high-end Pentium, it's still a Pentium. An i5-2320 or above should be fine.

there a realy low priced well designed CPU.i think they aimed this to an HTPC rig. a chip that will handle browsing and video streaming within a low cost and an efficent power . match this with a small passive cooling card and you got your self a strong silent HTPC at a low cost.

its the best of both worlds
