FX-6100 is a high-end CPU based on the 32nm Bulldozer architecture.
It offers 6 Physical Cores (6 Logical), initially clocked at 3.3GHz, which may go up to 3.6GHz and 8MB of L3 Cache.
Among its many features, Turbo Core and Virtualization are activated and the clock multiplier is unlocked, meaning it can be overclocked easily.
The processor DOES NOT integrated any graphics. and has a rated board TDP of 95W.
It is a powerful Hexa Core whose performance is good. It's thus capable of running most applications smoothly without any problem.

Hey guys, I have FX-6100 and GTX 1050 TI. Will the cpu bottleneck a lot? Will it have difference from normal cpu and this gpu?
P.S Sorry for my bad english
Hey guys. I'm running the fx 6100 (Not OC) with a ATI AMD R7 370 2gb. Is that reasonable to stop bottlenecking
There is no bottleneck there you can go even with better gpu if you want also try to overclock it3.8 ghz is easy to get even with stock cooler
will i need to up the voltage to go to 3.8? if not, i can do that no problem
I was able to hit 3.85ghz without touching the voltage so assuming you shouldn't have any problems with 3.8
ok Thank you Aditrex
hi, what is the best gpu for me to get without bottlenecking of anykind? thanks
R9 380 you need to overclock it for best performance
I can confirm that a gtx 1050ti or r9 380 is the best GPU you can get for the fx 6100 at stock clock speeds, overclocked to 4.6-4.8Ghz you might go with a rx 470.
Is 62 Celcius a good load temp with a 8350 cooler and a 10 perc. OC
that is 1 C over max safe temp what are officil from amd web site for fx line cpus however you might get some thermal there but is not that bad try getting better thermal paste
should I upgrade my 6100 to a 8350?
8350…
would you guys recomend me to upgrade my GPU or my CPU? i have a budget for upgrading ram to 12/16gb,and CPU or GPU….so what would be a smarter thing to do,upgrade gpu or cpu?
If i were you i would overclock the cpu and buy a better gpu.More ram won t help you much if you can t even use it properly. A r9 380/x depends on the price would be good with that build.Or if you don t mind waiting you can try waiting for pascal or polaris to be released.
Can this CPU handle my GPU
Well it might be a small bottleneck, but not too noticeable. Also I've see you got a nice overclock which quiet help to reduce any bottleneck :)
So I don't think you should worry much about it ;)
It can
Tnx. guys for the reply :)
How is this processor gonna work with my GPU? (I also ordered Gigabyte 970A-UD3 MBO)
hmm why would you upgrade from that i5
From i5 750?
yes?
because it sucks, and it was nearly 5 years old
What about r9 290x with that proc?
you could go even but it would bottleneck in cpu tensive games you need to oc atleast something to 4.2ghz or more
I have a fx 6100 at 4.4 paired with a r9 280x on my PC. I play GTV at 30-40 fps with most settings on very high, BF4 MP on a 64 players server at 50-60 fps(fps capped to 61), CS:GO eveything maxed out at 150-200 fps on 5vs5 games.
