i52500K is faster than your CPU,but your current CPU is enough to max every game. Also to change to i5 you'd need new mobo, that could be expensive.

The value you would get from upgrading your GPU would be much greater than upgrading to a i5.

Athlons are series of CPUs, you meant to say AMD.AMD doesn't have an old technology, on the contrary of what you said AMD has 2012 CPUs and top GPUs.

It's not that simple, thing differs from case to case from GPU to GPU compared to the features and prize adjusted to people needs. In fact AMD offers better value for money GPUs.Nvidias are not faster than AMDs.

Depends on what you mean, the 690 is, like the rest of Kepler, awful when it comes to compute tasks, and there is the Powercolor 7970 X2 Devil 13 that kills the 690. Are you trying to troll, its fairly common knowledge that Intel vs. AMD debates do not end well.

Precisely, the debate just goes on until the involved parties no longer wish to argue. Its hard to make an objective case for both sides.

In gaming the Intel vs AMD debate is pretty one sided. Piledriver is supposed to have big improvement though. However AMD has actually stated they aren't going to compete in the super high end CPU field though that may have been a statement to cover for Bulldozer.

Well, first you must have a Phenom II X4 960T and a motherboard that supports core unlocking and even then there is a 50-50 chance of success.

I own one of the unlockable 960t's. It turned to a so-called 1605t. It's recognised by my mainboard as "Unknown AMD Processor". Performance to value is outstanding!

i do, it's normal because the mainboard doesn't recognise the CPU properly, it does show the main CPU temperature though, so it's not really a problem:)
