Unfortunately, benchmarks indicate the performance falls behind all Intel i5, i7 and most i3 CPUs. Still, it should be enough to run the most demanding games at decent settings, paired with the appropriate GPU.
Because it's a 3rd gen i5 :p
Hi everybody! I'm new here and I want to buy a HP pavilion g6-2205sd. Check my rig. I want to use the laptop for school but I also want to play some games like CoD and amnesia. I don't want to play it on ultra settings but it must be playable at around medium settings. Is This laptop good enough? Sorry for bad English ;D
if this is still your desired rig, then you can max out all the cod games except maybe blops 2, which you can probably run on high anyway, and amnesia you can max that
Hey guys, i'm new around here. I'm just wondering if the game debate score for this CPU is based on the standard 1.9Ghz or whether it takes the automatic overclocking into account? My CPU usage usually sits around 2.3Ghz on all four cores whilst gaming and converting video in handbrake.
Sometimes hits 2.8Ghz when not all cores are being used.
So should i make these adjustments in my head when reading game requirements on this site?<br /
Im pretty sure it's for the turbo mode 1.9+ Ghz

yes you are able to, i have amd overdrive installed and the options are all available.
I'm not brave enough to overclock my laptop but i know its definately possible.
how many using HP G6-2005AX ???? and playing what games at what settings , what fps and what resolution.
I play with a G7-2243 US DiRT Showdown at my current res. with med-ultra!
isn't dirt optimized for AMD gpu's anyway, I will probably get worst performance
Anyone having experience with this CPU combined with an AMD RADEON HD 7640G? Is that combination better than an Intel B950 Pentium Dual Core 2,1 GHz with and AMD RADEON HD 7670M? Please Help!

Okay. And how will gaming performance compare? Is the 7640G able to produce some acceptable graphics?
medium in your resolution, most game that are optimized in 2012 :)
Sorry for the late response, but this CPU comes equipped with the 7640G integrated. I have AMD Dual Graphics 7640G + 8670M.
Intel Pentium B950 and 7670M cannot be combined as far as I know. ;)

Best chip ever. Paired with the 7670M, this creates enough power to max out any game at 1366x768 and still get 30 fps average.
I agree with you buddy, AMD's APU are great, im using this Llano APA and i can still run most game in low-med with lowered resolution :)
yea, found this beauty ,(look in the settings ) for just 550 euros or idk how much dollars

Because of the awesome driver support from amd. I bet whatever laptop this apu is in is 200$ cheaper than your laptop as well. Amd made a smart move with these apus, they just might steal the laptop market from intel by offering great integrated graphics and decent cpu performance :D
