Quake IV

GeForce GT 1030

Low Vs Ultra GeForce GT 1030 Performance Review

We can see that when playing Quake IV with a GeForce GT 1030 will return a consistently high 200+ frame rate. Those frames are achieved on Quake IV when being played at 1920x1080 screen resolution and on High graphics.

Playing Quake IV on Ultra 4k is certainly possible with this graphics card and we expect it will return around 200+ frames per second at that top scale resolution.

Finding a PC with this gpu or better would return some strong FPS in Quake IV. We would definitely recommend running at 4K screen res and on ultra, before trying any lower screen resolution. You would also need at least 0.512GB of RAM. You must also have an equally strong supporting CPU to get the 4K Ultra running smoothly.

In summary, Ultra graphics setting is highly achievable with this GeForce GT 1030 card, but what monitor resolution are you looking to play Quake IV at, because you can get 200+ FPS at Ultra 4K. But perhaps you feel better served at 1440p, where you would get 200+ frames per second on Ultra 1440p. Lower the resolution further and you get a blistering 200+ FPS at 1080p Ultra.
