The experience of playing Area 51 through a 2 year old GeForce RTX 2060 4GB GDDR5 is going to return a consistently high 200+ frame rate. Which is at High settings on 1080p performance.
And so following those results you could of course play this at 1080p, but this GPU is somewhat wasted at that resolution. We would suggest running Area 51 at 4K Ultra instead, where the GeForce RTX 2060 4GB GDDR5 would still get 200+ FPS at these performance hungry settings and resolution. When considering the GPUs release price, this comes in at $0 per Ultra 4K FPS or $0 at 1440p Ultra.
This is a powerful graphics card for Area 51 and we can certainly recommend it to deliver 4K screen res at ultra settings. Get a system with at least 0.512GB of RAM though. The PC’s processor would also want to be around the Intel Core i5-8500 6-Core 3.0GHz’s performance to get a smooth experience.
To summarise, we are in the realms of who gives a crap, when looking at game hardware demands, because the GeForce RTX 2060 4GB GDDR5 card will play Area 51 at Ultra settings almost regardless of the screen resolutions. 4K Ultra will get 200+ frame rate, 1440p can deliver 200+ FPS, and the lower resolution of 1080p comes in at 200+ frames per second. For interest the cost per frame rate would look like this - 1080p Ultra costs $0, 1440p costs $0 and 4K costs $0.
