InSomnia is a Dieselpunk RPG that transports you to a retro-futuristic space station on a 400-year journey in search of a new home. Explore the world as a Noman warrior—or hide in the shadows as an outcast. Perhaps you’ll be a charismatic leader—or maybe you’ll become an apex predator with bloodshot eyes and a thrill for the kill. Either way, you will have to muster the strength to survive in order to find out why mankind has embarked on such a risky journey through uncharted space. InSomnia offers an epic, non-linear storyline with many ‘points of no return’ and deep, immersive gameplay. The fate of the space station’s many inhabitants will depend on your choices.

Insomnia

Radeon RX 5700 8GB

Low Vs Ultra Radeon RX 5700 8GB Performance Review

Booting up Insomnia with the 2 year old Radeon RX 5700 8GB looks like it will get a very strong 200+ FPS. With that performance recorded at 1920x1080 res when running High graphics.

As this is a relatively powerful GPU, especially when comparing it to Insomnia rec requirements, it would make more sense if you pushed it up to 1440p or 4K, where even at Ultra 4K graphics settings the Radeon RX 5700 8GB will still get a solid 160 FPS.

With a system housing a graphics card like the Radeon RX 5700 8GB and some 4GB RAM, we will see a strong 4K Ultra result in Insomnia. Look for a processor like the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU to go with this setup and Ultra is a sure thing.

To summarise, this is an easy one, the Radeon RX 5700 8GB solution can play Insomnia at Ultra settings despite the desired screen resolution (up to 4K) you want to play it on. 4K Ultra gets 160 frame rate, whereby we see 200+ frame rate for the 1440p Ultra and if you wish to look at 1080p gaming then 200+ frames per second is the type of results. Using the graphics card launch price we calculate the cost per frame to look like this for the different resolutions - 1080p Ultra costs $0.99, 1440p costs $1.30 and 4K costs $2.18.
