RailWorks 2 SW1500 Switcher packshot image
Built by the General Motors Electromotive Division as a replacement of the SW1200, the SW1500 was intended for switching duties, and was capable of light branch line work as a road switcher. It was a development of the SW1200 and previous SW-series switchers dating back many years earlier, and was fitted with a 1500 horsepower two-stroke V-12 diesel engine. A total of 808 examples were built from 1966 to 1974, serving industrial and railroad operators across the length and breadth of the United States, with approximately a quarter of the whole production initially purchased by the Southern Pacific Railroad. A huge number of SW1500s can still be found in use today, proving the durability and versatility of this old locomotive design. Radeon RX Vega 56 8GB

Low Vs Ultra Radeon RX Vega 56 8GB Performance Review

The experience of playing RailWorks 2 SW1500 Switcher through a Radeon RX Vega 56 8GB is going to return a consistently high 200+ frame rate. Those frames are achieved on RailWorks 2 SW1500 Switcher when being played at 1920x1080 screen resolution and on High graphics.

Playing RailWorks 2 SW1500 Switcher on Ultra 4k is certainly possible with this graphics card and we expect it will return around 200+ frames per second at that top scale resolution.

Finding a PC with this gpu or better would return some strong FPS in RailWorks 2 SW1500 Switcher. We would definitely recommend running at 4K screen res and on ultra, before trying any lower screen resolution. You would also need at least 1GB of RAM. Perhaps couple this gaming PC with a processor that's as powerful as the AMD Ryzen R7 1700 and Ultra 4K would be a smooth experience.

In summary, if you are looking to play RailWorks 2 SW1500 Switcher in Ultra then you have come with the right graphics card. The Radeon RX Vega 56 8GB can chew through the graphical performance needs of the game with relative ease. 1080p Ultra will return 200+ frames, then the larger screen resolution of 1440p can deliver 200+ FPS, with the 4K resolution seeing 200+ FPS in Ultra as well.
