The Extinction packshot image
The Extinction is an indie 2.5D Space Shooter. In the current stage, the game focuses on the arcade type of gameplay, which obviously is not that challenging, but still fun. Player has an opportunity to play four Game-Modes including the most expanded one - Side Campaign. In this gamemode player has to invade planets which provide money and resources like iron or fuel, then protect them with defensive buildings and finally - get to the boss of the solar system and destroy him. While playing this gamemode, you can always complete side missions, to get more money and XP and explore, freely the void between the planets to search for some more resources.

The Extinction

GeForce GT 940 2GB

Low Vs Ultra GeForce GT 940 2GB Performance Review

The experience of playing The Extinction through a GeForce GT 940 2GB is going to return a consistently high 125 frame rate. And those results are assuming a 1920x1080 screen resolution at High setting level.

Playing The Extinction on Ultra 4k is certainly possible with this graphics card and we expect it will return around 40 frames per second at that top scale resolution.

In summary, if you are looking to play The Extinction in Ultra then you have come with the right graphics card. The GeForce GT 940 2GB can chew through the graphical performance needs of the game with relative ease. 1080p Ultra will return 89 frames, then the larger screen resolution of 1440p can deliver 68 FPS, with the 4K resolution seeing 40 FPS in Ultra as well.
