The Extinction packshot image
The Extinction is an indie 2.5D Space Shooter. In the current stage, the game focuses on the arcade type of gameplay, which obviously is not that challenging, but still fun. Player has an opportunity to play four Game-Modes including the most expanded one - Side Campaign. In this gamemode player has to invade planets which provide money and resources like iron or fuel, then protect them with defensive buildings and finally - get to the boss of the solar system and destroy him. While playing this gamemode, you can always complete side missions, to get more money and XP and explore, freely the void between the planets to search for some more resources.

Radeon RX Vega 11

Low Vs Ultra Radeon RX Vega 11 Performance Review

Booting up The Extinction with the 3 year old Radeon RX Vega 11 looks like it will get a very strong 120 FPS. Which is at High settings on 1080p performance.

But then the Radeon RX Vega 11 will get a solid big screen performance at 4K, with 39 frames per second. So we expect you are likely to consider running the game in 4K or 1440p. If you are interested, this is a cost of $0 per FPS, assuming we take it based on the GPU’s launch price.

To summarise, this is an easy one, the Radeon RX Vega 11 solution can play The Extinction at Ultra settings despite the desired screen resolution (up to 4K) you want to play it on. 4K Ultra gets 39 frame rate, whereby we see 65 frame rate for the 1440p Ultra and if you wish to look at 1080p gaming then 86 frames per second is the type of results. Using the graphics card launch price we calculate the cost per frame to look like this for the different resolutions - 1080p Ultra costs $0, 1440p costs $0 and 4K costs $0.
