Shadow of the Tomb Raider packshot image
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is allegedly the next Tomb Raider game in development. For the first time in over a decade it looks as if Crystal Dynamics won't be developing Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Instead Deus Ex: Mankind Divided developer Eidos Montreal could be heading up development.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

GeForce GTX 1060

Low Vs Ultra GeForce GTX 1060 Performance Review

Viewing the performance found on the 3 year old GeForce GTX 1060 while playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider we quickly see it can deliver a struggling 27 FPS. With that performance recorded at 1920x1080 res when running High graphics.

In lieu of those results we would not recommend the GeForce GTX 1060 to run Shadow of the Tomb Raider on 1440p. You could drop your graphics setting to its lowest and then you may get around 38 frames, which could be passable. However, we suggest dropping resolution back down to get a more enjoyable play experience.

In summary, the GeForce GTX 1060 is only really suitable for running Shadow of the Tomb Raider on a small laptop screen but may get some playable frame rates up to high graphics.
