Shadowrun Online packshot image
*This Game Is Currently In Early Access* The game will feature two major parts the action map, where you (and your friends) do missions from stealthily infiltrating a secret Renraku research facility to punching the lights out of a major Aztechnology outpost with guns blazing. Hacking, magic and gunfights are all part of that and will be done simultaneously (so nobody needs to go for pizza while your hacker battles Black ICE for two hours).
The second part will be the legwork and mission preparation. This will happen on a city overview map, where you can try and use your contacts, skills or resources to gain info on the mission goal, acquire blueprints, bribe guards or prepare the right soft or spell for your endeavor. This will be closer to rolling the dice on an action and getting a short narrated outcome. Each of those actions will cost action points (and if you want to get better odds you may want to spend more action points on a specific objective).

Shadowrun Online

GeForce GTX 970 4GB

Low Vs Ultra GeForce GTX 970 4GB Performance Review

Booting up Shadowrun Online with the 7 year old GeForce GTX 970 4GB looks like it will get a very strong 200+ FPS. And those results are assuming a 1920x1080 screen resolution at High setting level.

When looking at the recommended requirements for Shadowrun Online we can see that this GeForce GTX 970 4GB is far better served running it on Ultra even at 4K, where it would achieve 200+FPS. But it could cost around $1.38 per FPS at 4K. Compare this to Ultra 1440p, which is a more reasonable $0.82 per FPS.

The GeForce GTX 970 4GB along with the right system memory, 1GB, is very capable of getting top FPS results even at 4K Ultra graphics settings. We would recommend 4K as the way to go here. Especially if you have a Intel Core i7-4770K 4-Core 3.5GHz processor or better.

To summarise, this is an easy one, the GeForce GTX 970 4GB solution can play Shadowrun Online at Ultra settings despite the desired screen resolution (up to 4K) you want to play it on. 4K Ultra gets 200+ frame rate, whereby we see 200+ frame rate for the 1440p Ultra and if you wish to look at 1080p gaming then 200+ frames per second is the type of results. Using the graphics card launch price we calculate the cost per frame to look like this for the different resolutions - 1080p Ultra costs $0.63, 1440p costs $0.82 and 4K costs $1.38.
