Shadowrun Online packshot image
*This Game Is Currently In Early Access* The game will feature two major parts the action map, where you (and your friends) do missions from stealthily infiltrating a secret Renraku research facility to punching the lights out of a major Aztechnology outpost with guns blazing. Hacking, magic and gunfights are all part of that and will be done simultaneously (so nobody needs to go for pizza while your hacker battles Black ICE for two hours).
The second part will be the legwork and mission preparation. This will happen on a city overview map, where you can try and use your contacts, skills or resources to gain info on the mission goal, acquire blueprints, bribe guards or prepare the right soft or spell for your endeavor. This will be closer to rolling the dice on an action and getting a short narrated outcome. Each of those actions will cost action points (and if you want to get better odds you may want to spend more action points on a specific objective).

Shadowrun Online

Radeon RX 470 4GB

Low Vs Ultra Radeon RX 470 4GB Performance Review

Booting up Shadowrun Online with the 5 year old Radeon RX 470 4GB looks like it will return a consistently high 200+ frame rate. With that performance recorded at 1920x1080 res when running High graphics.

With such a strong 1080p performance the Radeon RX 470 4GB overshadows the Shadowrun Online recommended specs. Push things up to Ultra 4K and we still get 200+ frames per sec. Using the graphics card release price, this is a $0.66 cost per FPS and a $0.39 per FPS at 1440p Ultra.

Crank things up is what we say. Ultra 4K is our recommended game settings for Shadowrun Online, as long as you have 1GB of RAM or more. A good processor component to help with these settings would be the Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz.

To summarise, this is an easy one, the Radeon RX 470 4GB solution can play Shadowrun Online at Ultra settings despite the desired screen resolution (up to 4K) you want to play it on. 4K Ultra gets 200+ frame rate, whereby we see 200+ frame rate for the 1440p Ultra and if you wish to look at 1080p gaming then 200+ frames per second is the type of results. Using the graphics card launch price we calculate the cost per frame to look like this for the different resolutions - 1080p Ultra costs $0.30, 1440p costs $0.39 and 4K costs $0.66.
