Shadowrun Online packshot image
*This Game Is Currently In Early Access* The game will feature two major parts the action map, where you (and your friends) do missions from stealthily infiltrating a secret Renraku research facility to punching the lights out of a major Aztechnology outpost with guns blazing. Hacking, magic and gunfights are all part of that and will be done simultaneously (so nobody needs to go for pizza while your hacker battles Black ICE for two hours).
The second part will be the legwork and mission preparation. This will happen on a city overview map, where you can try and use your contacts, skills or resources to gain info on the mission goal, acquire blueprints, bribe guards or prepare the right soft or spell for your endeavor. This will be closer to rolling the dice on an action and getting a short narrated outcome. Each of those actions will cost action points (and if you want to get better odds you may want to spend more action points on a specific objective).

Shadowrun Online

Radeon RX 550 2GB

Low Vs Ultra Radeon RX 550 2GB Performance Review

Running a Radeon RX 550 2GB to play Shadowrun Online shows us that we expect it to return a consistently high 200+ frame rate. Note that those results would be running at High and 1920x1080 screen res.

Following on from those 1920x1080 screen FPS, we know this GPU is of a much higher performance than the recommended system specs. Even 4K Ultra returns 191 FPS on Shadowrun Online. But it’s still worth considering the $0.41 per Ultra 4K FPS you would get compared to the $0.25 at 1440p Ultra.

This is a powerful graphics card for Shadowrun Online and we can certainly recommend it to deliver 4K screen res at ultra settings. Get a system with at least 1GB of RAM though. The PC’s processor would also want to be around the AMD Ryzen R3 1200X’s performance to get a smooth experience.

To summarise, this game runs easily using this graphics card at all resolutions. Shadowrun Online gets 191 FPS at 4K Ultra costing $0.41 per frame. But if that doesnt feel right for you then you can drop the graphics setting down to High for 200+ FPS costing $0.29 per frame. Otherwise you can get some great performance by moving down a resolution bracket to 1440p. 200+ FPS in Ultra 1440p costing $0.25 per frame or 1440p High gets 200+ FPS costing $0.18 per frame.
