Close to the Sun

GeForce GTX 1070 Ti

Low Vs Ultra GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Performance Review

Getting the Close to the Sun running while using a GeForce GTX 1070 Ti can see it could get a very strong 96 FPS. Which is at High settings on 1080p performance.

With such a great performance found in 1080p we step things up to 1440p. Where we still see a solid 52 frame count in Ultra graphics, even on 1440p resolution. Or it could also get 65 FPS on Medium graphics at 4K resolution, if you wanted higher resolution. Based on the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti launch price, this would cost $9.60 for each 1440p Ultra frame, or a more reasonable $4.58 per FPS on Medium 1440p.

In summary, 1440p resolution shows itself to be the optimum performance vs visuals for the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti. While it can certainly get a strong 1080p Ultra of 69 FPS, if you want to move up to 1440p on Close to the Sun then we can see 1440p Low setting getting 138 FPS or the Medium returning 109 FPS. Change graphics settings up to High for 73 FPS and then Ultra gets 52 FPS.
