Close to the Sun

Radeon RX 5500 4GB

Low Vs Ultra Radeon RX 5500 4GB Performance Review

After playing Close to the Sun on a Radeon RX 5500 4GB it will return a reliable 88 FPS. Note that those results would be running at High and 1920x1080 screen res.

The 48 FPS on 1440p ultra setting seems to be a very good choice for running this game with this GPU. But it can also be pushed up to 4K, should you wish, where it can get 40FPS on High 4K or drop it to Medium 4K to get 60 FPS.

Ultra at 1080p is where this graphics card will perform well. Its probably not too advisable to push the resolution up to 1440p on Close to the Sun as the Radeon RX 5500 4GB is not best optimised for that. But for 1080p be sure to have 8GB RAM and a AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core 3.6GHz processor or better .

In summary, we put the 1440p screen resolution as the better choice for the Radeon RX 5500 4GB here. But if you are looking for strong FPS at the top end of graphics quality then you would be aiming for 1080p Ultra or 1080p High. Here are some Low Vs Ultra frame rates that we think you should consider. 1080p High graphics setting gets 88 FPS and Ultra is 63 FPS. Then moving on to the 1440p FPS with Low setting: 127 FPS, 1440p Medium setting: 100 FPS, 1440p High setting: 67 FPS, 1440p Ultra setting: 48 FPS.
