Low Vs Ultra Radeon RX 580 4GB Performance Review
Playing Stranger Things 3: The Game on the Radeon RX 580 4GB, which is a 4 year old graphics card will likely return a consistently high 200+ frame rate. Note that those results would be running at High and 1920x1080 screen res.
And so following those results you could of course play this at 1080p, but this GPU is somewhat wasted at that resolution. We would suggest running Stranger Things 3: The Game at 4K Ultra instead, where the Radeon RX 580 4GB would still get 70 FPS at these performance hungry settings and resolution. When considering the GPUs release price, this comes in at $2.64 per Ultra 4K FPS or $1.58 at 1440p Ultra.
This is a powerful graphics card for Stranger Things 3: The Game and we can certainly recommend it to deliver 4K screen res at ultra settings. Get a system with at least 4GB of RAM though. The PC’s processor would also want to be around the AMD Ryzen R5 1600X’s performance to get a smooth experience.
To summarise, with this graphics card you do not need concern yourself too much regarding Stranger Things 3: The Game frame rates. Because Ultra graphics setting can be turned on across all resolutions up to 4K quite comfortably. We are seeing 4K getting 70 FPS, 1440p will get 117 frame rate and if you are interested then 1080p gaming can get 153 FPS. Based around the Radeon RX 580 4GB launch price, we calculate the cost per frame at different resolutions. 1080p Ultra frames will cost $1.21, 1440p frames cost $1.58 each and then the 4K costs $2.64 per frame.
