Skullgirls packshot image
Skullgirls is a fighting game that can be played using different ratios of characters, with each player able to have up to three fighters on their team. These teams are balanced by their numbers, for example single player teams are stronger and possess more health whilst larger teams can perform character assists, with characters also able to recover health when tagged out. Players can customise their character assist attacks, as well as perform super moves by charging their special meter with offensive attacks. The game has various unique systems, such as infinite detection, which gives players the chance to break out of a loop combo, easier inputs for more complex actions and protection against high/low unblockable attacks. The game will also feature online play using the GGPO netcode, the first brand new arcade title to do so.

Skullgirls

GeForce GTX 980 4GB

Low Vs Ultra GeForce GTX 980 4GB Performance Review

Viewing the performance found on the 7 year old GeForce GTX 980 4GB while playing Skullgirls we quickly see it can get a very strong 200+ FPS. To get that Skullgirls is benched at High graphics setting and at 1080p.

But then the GeForce GTX 980 4GB will get a solid big screen performance at 4K, with 200+ frames per second. So we expect you are likely to consider running the game in 4K or 1440p. If you are interested, this is a cost of $1.22 per FPS, assuming we take it based on the GPU’s launch price.

This graphics card, paired with at least 2GB system memory and a suitable processor, like the Intel Core i7-4770K 4-Core 3.5GHz would be perfect to run this game at 4K Ultra.

To summarise, GeForce GTX 980 4GB graphics cards can smoothly run this game, but what Skullgirls screen resolution would you like to run with? While you can get 200+ FPS with 4K Ultra you can increase your frame rate to 200+ FPS in Ultra 1440p and up to 200+ FPS with 1080p. Pricing this on a frame per frame around the graphics cards original price it will cost $0.55 per 1080p Ultra frame. This increases to $0.72 per frame at 1440p Ultra and even more with 4K Ultra at $1.22 per frame.
