Toribash packshot image
Toribash is a turn-based 3D 3rd person tactical martial arts simulator using physics based attacks.
The game is played by relaxing, holding, extending or contracting the various joints on your character and hitting the spacebar to advance time by a user-specified amount, the default being ten frames. When properly manipulated, one ragdoll will strike the other, and if enough damage is inflicted with a single blow, a limb or body part may be dismembered, or fractured. Through careful manipulation of the ragdoll's joints, arbitrarily complex attacks can be performed.

Radeon RX 490X 8GB

Low Vs Ultra Radeon RX 490X 8GB Performance Review

We can see that when playing Toribash with a Radeon RX 490X 8GB will return a consistently high 140 frame rate. And those results are assuming a 1920x1080 screen resolution at High setting level.

With such a strong 1080p performance the Radeon RX 490X 8GB overshadows the Toribash recommended specs. Push things up to Ultra 4K and we still get 45 frames per sec. Using the graphics card release price, this is a $15.56 cost per FPS and a $9.21 per FPS at 1440p Ultra.

In summary, Ultra graphics setting is highly achievable with this Radeon RX 490X 8GB card, but what monitor resolution are you looking to play Toribash at, because you can get 45 FPS at Ultra 4K. But perhaps you feel better served at 1440p, where you would get 76 frames per second on Ultra 1440p. Lower the resolution further and you get a blistering 100 FPS at 1080p Ultra.
