State Of Decay packshot image
Unlike games such as Left 4 Dead, State of Decay will focus more on survival. Stealth, evasion, distractions, securing the player's resources, and moving through the world will be more emphasized than zombie combat. The game will be open world, where the player's choices will be an important factor. Players will be able to build structures such as sniper towers and barricades to defend against the infected population. Food, water, shelter, ammo, and supplies such as copper wire will be necessary for survival. To obtain these supplies, the player will need to go on raids to abandoned supermarkets and many other shops, or the player can grow food themselves. The player will also be able to rescue other NPC survivors, such as electricians, to help with defense, repair damaged electronics in the player's base, or to help with the player's raiding parties. However, the player will also be able to be a lone wolf, moving from building to building trying to survive.

State Of Decay

GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB

Low Vs Ultra GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Performance Review

Getting the State Of Decay running while using a GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB can see it could get a very strong 200+ FPS. Those frames are achieved on State Of Decay when being played at 1920x1080 screen resolution and on High graphics.

When looking at the recommended requirements for State Of Decay we can see that this GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB is far better served running it on Ultra even at 4K, where it would achieve 153FPS. But it could cost around $4.24 per FPS at 4K. Compare this to Ultra 1440p, which is a more reasonable $2.54 per FPS.

The GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB along with the right system memory, 4GB, is very capable of getting top FPS results even at 4K Ultra graphics settings. We would recommend 4K as the way to go here. Especially if you have a Intel Core i7-4790K 4-Core 4.0GHz processor or better.

In summary, the GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB is clearly an overpowered bit of hardware for State Of Decay, but it certainly gives you the choice of desired in game visuals. With 1080p Ultra coming in at 200+ FPS, then you have 1440p Ultra with 200+ frames per second and on up to 4K resolution Ultra will see 153 FPS.
