State Of Decay packshot image
Unlike games such as Left 4 Dead, State of Decay will focus more on survival. Stealth, evasion, distractions, securing the player's resources, and moving through the world will be more emphasized than zombie combat. The game will be open world, where the player's choices will be an important factor. Players will be able to build structures such as sniper towers and barricades to defend against the infected population. Food, water, shelter, ammo, and supplies such as copper wire will be necessary for survival. To obtain these supplies, the player will need to go on raids to abandoned supermarkets and many other shops, or the player can grow food themselves. The player will also be able to rescue other NPC survivors, such as electricians, to help with defense, repair damaged electronics in the player's base, or to help with the player's raiding parties. However, the player will also be able to be a lone wolf, moving from building to building trying to survive.

State Of Decay

GeForce RTX 2060 6GB

Low Vs Ultra GeForce RTX 2060 6GB Performance Review

Viewing the performance found on the 2 year old GeForce RTX 2060 6GB while playing State Of Decay we quickly see it can return a consistently high 200+ frame rate. Which is at High settings on 1080p performance.

Playing State Of Decay on Ultra 4k is certainly possible with this graphics card and we expect it will return around 185 frames per second at that top scale resolution.

Finding a PC with this gpu or better would return some strong FPS in State Of Decay. We would definitely recommend running at 4K screen res and on ultra, before trying any lower screen resolution. You would also need at least 4GB of RAM. Perhaps couple this gaming PC with a processor that's as powerful as the Intel Core i7-9700K 8-Core 3.6GHz and Ultra 4K would be a smooth experience.

To summarise, GeForce RTX 2060 6GB graphics cards can smoothly run this game, but what State Of Decay screen resolution would you like to run with? While you can get 185 FPS with 4K Ultra you can increase your frame rate to 200+ FPS in Ultra 1440p and up to 200+ FPS with 1080p. Pricing this on a frame per frame around the graphics cards original price it will cost $0.73 per 1080p Ultra frame. This increases to $0.96 per frame at 1440p Ultra and even more with 4K Ultra at $1.62 per frame.
