Desktop Tower Defense packshot image
The game is played on a map resembling an office desktop. The player must stop a set number of enemies, known in the genre as "creeps," from reaching a set point on the playing field. This is accomplished by building and upgrading towers that shoot at, damage and kill the enemy creeps before they are able to reach their objective. Unlike many other tower defense games, the path of the creeps themselves is not set; instead, the towers built determine the path of the creeps, who take the shortest path they can find to the exit. The game prevents making an exit inaccessible.

Desktop Tower Defense

Radeon Vega Frontier Edition 16GB

Low Vs Ultra Radeon Vega Frontier Edition 16GB Performance Review

Playing Desktop Tower Defense on the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition 16GB, which is a 4 year old graphics card will likely return a consistently high 200+ frame rate. Those frames are achieved on Desktop Tower Defense when being played at 1920x1080 screen resolution and on High graphics.

Playing Desktop Tower Defense on Ultra 4k is certainly possible with this graphics card and we expect it will return around 200+ frames per second at that top scale resolution.

Finding a PC with this gpu or better would return some strong FPS in Desktop Tower Defense. We would definitely recommend running at 4K screen res and on ultra, before trying any lower screen resolution. You would also need at least 0.064GB of RAM.

To summarise, with this graphics card you do not need concern yourself too much regarding Desktop Tower Defense frame rates. Because Ultra graphics setting can be turned on across all resolutions up to 4K quite comfortably. We are seeing 4K getting 200+ FPS, 1440p will get 200+ frame rate and if you are interested then 1080p gaming can get 200+ FPS. Based around the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition 16GB launch price, we calculate the cost per frame at different resolutions. 1080p Ultra frames will cost $0.05, 1440p frames cost $0.06 each and then the 4K costs $0.10 per frame.
