Desktop Tower Defense packshot image
The game is played on a map resembling an office desktop. The player must stop a set number of enemies, known in the genre as "creeps," from reaching a set point on the playing field. This is accomplished by building and upgrading towers that shoot at, damage and kill the enemy creeps before they are able to reach their objective. Unlike many other tower defense games, the path of the creeps themselves is not set; instead, the towers built determine the path of the creeps, who take the shortest path they can find to the exit. The game prevents making an exit inaccessible.

Desktop Tower Defense

Radeon RX 5500 4GB

Low Vs Ultra Radeon RX 5500 4GB Performance Review

After playing Desktop Tower Defense on a Radeon RX 5500 4GB it will get a very strong 200+ FPS. Note that those results would be running at High and 1920x1080 screen res.

At $0 per FPS at 4K, if we assume the GPU’s launch price. This GPU can play Desktop Tower Defense at a respectable 200+ frame rate on 4K Ultra.

The Radeon RX 5500 4GB along with the right system memory, 0.064GB, is very capable of getting top FPS results even at 4K Ultra graphics settings. We would recommend 4K as the way to go here. Especially if you have a AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core 3.6GHz processor or better.

In summary, the performance delivered by this graphics card easily overpowers that needed by Desktop Tower Defense. We expect to get a very strong frame rate of 200+ FPS at 1080p Ultra, but would advise moving up to 1440p Ultra to get 200+ frames per second or even 200+ FPS at 4K Ultra as the Radeon RX 5500 4GB can handle this. It just comes down to your preferred resolution then tweak your graphics settings to deliver the desired effects, without a care for performance.
