Yeah we will. Just be persistent and you will make it.
I enjoy making 3d models, vector drawing….sketching, I also like web design. So, once I became graphic desginer, I should be all around designer, because I am interested in all of those branches of graphic design. :))

Fortunately the whole Adobe CC subscription comes free for me as a perk with my job :)
Although I still can't believe that it's 2014 and most feautures in Photoshop are still not properly multi-threaded! (40 thread workstation feels no faster than an 8 thread one + CPU usage in long tasks stays like 1%, that's with GPU acceleration turned off even)

are you sure you setup preferences in Photoshop and you're running 64-bit version?

I got CC 2014 x64 offline installer from prodesigntools - it's legal and you must be logged on Adobe Cloud, and I downloaded only 64bit installer, so saved quite a space in my PC heh :3

Just too many problems with Adobe CC, buddy. Not saying it's not possible to work with - not at all. But sometimes you are left wondering why things are done the way they are. I remember having to save Illustrator CC files every 5 minutes because it just crashed THAT often. Lack of autosave features, multi-threading, etc. Could be better.

They're faster, though I don't see the point in having both CC and CC 2014 :D
But as far as I've checked, when working with large files (And I'm talking 20k+ width here) CC 2014 x64 behaves the same - chokes on cropping with no proper CPU usage…

3DS Max is hardcore 3D modelling software, Mudbox seemed better for organic modelling and recently Maya isn't bad either :)

Actually, Maya is even more complex and specialized than 3Ds Max and yeah Mudbox is great for organic modelling. But the situation is, learn modelling and then learn to model organics :D I cannot start with Mudbox but one day I will have my experience with it :)

I don't know about those workflows but from seeing other professionals, I see that combinations like 3Ds Max + Mudbox + Zbrush are one of the best. Seen them a lot as job requirements :)

I use 3Ds MAX at work every day. If you're not doing super hardcore animations - it's my tool of choice (hate Maya's UI and 'tool cloud'). You can customize max UI, script it to the core and do whatever - really powerful, don't see the point in using Maya. Sure, Maya comes with some fluid and particle plugins, but as a pro you'll want something like Rayfire and Krakatoa anyway :)

true, but we can all agree with a straight face that there is no mac that can beat a PC in terms of processing power, and 3D rendering eats every single bit you throw at it and it's still not enough! :)

Nice! I just use my Surface Pro 3 as a drawing tablet sometimes, but I also have a regular Wacom Bamboo tablet.

I've heard mixed optinions about Cintiq vs Surface Pro 3. I personally chose the SP3 (i7, 512GB, 8GB RAM model) because I wanted a good Windows tablet for when I'm out and about, traveling or just farting around lazily in bed :)
Being able to draw on it is obviously a bonus. My girlfriend got herself a Surface Pro 1 to draw using Sai.
