With the embargo lifted on Xbox One's launch games, we can now check out how much the average title for Microsoft's console is going to set you back, as well as looking at how much of your console's 500GB hard drive is going to be gobbled up by large next gen titles.

Third party, AAA titles will set you back on average £54.99/ $59.99, with first party games around 20% cheaper...

The complete prices and download sizes are listed below:

Angry Birds Star Wars: 1.81 GB - £35.19/ $49.99

Assassin's Creed 4: 20.25GB - £54.99/ $59.99

Battlefield 4: 33.66GB - £54.99/ $59.99

Call of Duty: Ghosts: 39.5GB - £54.99/ $59.99

Crimson Dragon: 6.88GB - £15.99/ $19.99

Dead Rising 3: 19.9GB - £44.99/ $59.99

FIFA 14: 8.7GB - £54.99/ $59.99

Fighter Within: 9.22 GB - £49.99/ $59.99

Forza 5: 31.76 GB - £44.99/ $59.99

Just Dance 2014: 22.97GB - £39.99/ $49.99

Killer Instinct: 3.25GB - free

Kinect Sports Rivals Preseason: 3.09GB - free

Lego Marvel Super Heroes: 6.48GB - £49.99/ $49.99

LocoCyle: 13.17GB - £15.99/ $19.99

Madden NFL 25: 12.51GB - £54.99/ $59.99

NBA 2K14: 43.14GB - £49.99/ $59.99

NBA Live 14: 9GB - £54.99/ $59.99

Need for Speed: Rivals: 15.35GB - £54.99/ $59.99

Powerstar Golf: 3.92GB - £15.99/ $19.99

Ryse: 34.94GB - £44.99/ $59.99

Skylanders Swap Force: 15.72GB Starter Pack £59.99/ $74.99

Xbox Fitness: 252.13MB - free

Zoo Tycoon: 2.62 GB - £49.99/ $59.99

Zumba Fitness World Party: 24.14GB

Yes, you read that right, you didn't read it wrong; Angry Birds Star Wars is retailing for more than ten times the iOS and Android price at a mindboggling $50. Now don't get me wrong, I love to fire tiny colourful birds with lightsabres at pigs in Stoomtrooper helmets as much as the next guy, but I think I'll stick with my £2.99 android investment, thanks.

Another thing worth looking at is Killer Instinct. The title might be advertised as "free", but that 3.25GB download gives you access Jago only, the other 8 characters and all additional cosmetic changes and skins are locked into the "ultra" edition. This will set you back £31.99. For those of you who don't want to be sucked into to this kind of devilish marketing ploy, there are cheaper options for you; you can buy the additional characters for £15.99 without the costumes and other gizmos, or by individual characters for £3.99.

With Call of Duty: Ghosts' 39GB download size consisting of about 8% of the entire console hard drive, it might also be a concern for some that, unlike the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One does not feature an overall storage option letting you know how much space is left on your hard drive.

What do you think about the list? Are there any surprises? Do you think advertised improvements to download speed for next-gen will really reduce download waiting time significantly when so many games are 30GB or more?

Tell us what you think in the discussion area.

These games take up too much space for a 500GB Hard Drive. They should have put a 1TB hard Drive on these new consoles!

Holy ****, look at those game file sizes!!! How is NBA 2K14 43.14 GB!? 10 games like that can nearly half way fill up a terabyte hard drive!!! Now I see why you can download in the background and when the console is off...

I agree, especially since you can easily get this game FREE on many mobile devices, why would we place this version over the mobile?

Why in the hell is Angry Birds £35..? They wouldn't be able to get away with that if it wasn't already so popular.

Is the X1 HDD upgradeable? I'm going to get 1500GB HDD for my PS4 so no worries of it would get full too quickly.

Nope. You're stuck with 500 GB. Can't be removed. You can have an external drive, though.
