Sony has announced during the Japanese PlayStation Awards that, as of 1st December, it has sold 2.1 million PS4 consoles to consumers.
The hardware giant sold 1 million PlayStation 4 units in just 24 hours after the U.S launch. This was followed by a further 1.1 million sales for PS4’s global launch, which expanded to a total of 32 countries worldwide, including Europe and Latin America...
Andrew House, President and Group CEO of Sony said that "PS4 delivered the best launch in PlayStation history with the North American release and we've continued this incredibly successful start in Europe, Australasia and Latin America,"
"The PS4 journey has just begun. In addition to an incredible line-up of PS4 games from the best developers in the world, we will continue to introduce valuable new features and services to PS4 in the months and years ahead."
