Land ahoy for the first batch of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag DLC, as Freedom Cry sails into port later this month. An advert in the latest issue of Game Informer magazine let slip the release date for the upcoming add-on, which is set to bring over four hours of swashbuckling to Ubisoft’s title.

Focusing on Edward Kenway’s quartermaster Adewale, this additional adventure takes place 15 years after the events of the main game, as Adewale finds himself shipwrecked in Saint-Domingue on a new mission that has him liberating slaves and turning unsuspecting slavers into shish kebabs…

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag - Freedom Cry is set to launch on the 17th December for Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. There’s no word yet on when the PC version is due, or indeed whether the Wii U will see any additional content at all.

There’s been no official price announced as of yet but the content is ‘free’ for those who have picked up the game’s season pass, available for $19.99/£15.99 from all reputable buccaneers.

What a surprise, us PC gamers are left in the dark while consoles get all the information/attention, **** the game developers.

I simply love the game. Awesome gameplay, story and graphics (although I don't care about the graphics, if the gameplay isn't good).

i agree with darkerium. even if the game has the best graphics i wont care too much about it if the gameplay isnt enjoyable. although the reverse goes for me too to some extent. even if the game has great gameplay if the graphics are not satisfying i may not play it.

Just give us the damn patch already. I couldn't care less about a new DLC, so you can milk more money

a patch to fix what?
The optimisation will remain as it is and there are not many bugs in the game except for the ship ones
