The Walking Dead: Season 2 has finally had its release dated thanks to a listing on Steam, although Telltale has yet to make an official announcement.
Set to arrive in just eleven days, The Walking Dead: Season 2 looks to continue the harrowing tale of the first series, this time placing you in the shoes of young survivor Clementine.
The first episode arrives on December 17th, with Telltale promising the series will put you in new and unique experiences not seen before in gaming, that will “challenge [your] expectations of how to survive in a world where no one can be trusted."
Many months have passed since the events of the The Walking Dead: Season 1 and Clementine is looking for safety in a world where the living can be just as dangerous as the dead. The series’ trademark moral choices and dilemmas will make a return, with your actions changing the story around you.
The release date hasn’t officially been announced by Telltale Games yet so it’s unknown exactly when it will be hitting the other platforms, including Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita and iOS.
As well as The Walking Dead, Telltale has also been working on The Wolf Among Us, which had its first episode released back in October, although there’s still no news on when the second episode is set to arrive. We’ll be sure to keep you update as soon as we hear anything. In the more time be sure to check out The Walking Dead's system requirements to see if your rigs up to scratch for Clementine's latest outing.
Do you think the second series will be able to match the achievements of the first?
Would you have preferred a more focused development on The Wolf Among Us so there wasn’t quite such a wait between episodes?
