OOHRAH - Call Of Duty: Ghosts Multiplayer Available For Free This Weekend

Call of Duty: Ghosts might have got a fair bit of flak when it released back in November, but Activision’s shooter is still the leading military might in the world of multiplayer shooters.

If you haven’t hopped on board yet and you like all things free, then count yourself lucky, because the multiplayer component of Infinity Ward’s outing is entirely free to play until Monday. That is, if you haven’t found yourself spoiled rotten by Titanfall already…

Steam users will be able to download the game entirely free of charge from right now, allowing them to put the shooter through its paces. Unfortunately the multiplayer component doesn’t capitalise on the legendary fish AII, so you’ll have to just make do with an unnervingly robotic AI dog at your beck and call.

Call of Duty: Ghosts reviewed rather favourably in our official review, but we felt the multiplayer component needed a bit of work. It seems since launch Infinity Ward has been fixing the spawn issues and other faults that were causing a bit of an upset, so now might well be the perfect time to hop in.

Will you be giving CoD: Ghosts a chance this weekend?

Has Activision’s franchise overstayed its welcome?

i dont really care. for me the single player for these games was just a boring way to get a bit used to the guns and the gameplay before i head to the multiplayer part.

The story was actually quite good. I'm one of the few people who play COD for the campaign. BF4's story was absolute sh*t though.

yep the BF4 story was totally uninteresting but the gameplay of the campaign was enjoyable enough. thats how it was with CoD too for me. stupid story supporting the american army full of propaganda but the gameplay was enjoyable enough for 1 playthrhough. few times i started a second one but i was bored of it after a couple of levels. for me it was always like SP -> 10 hours MP -> 500+ hours

Can I run BF4 multiplayer like I run this? Its smooth but I can't benchmark it correctly as neither Fraps, Gamebooster, nor MSI afterburner overlays seem to work.

according to the official requirements the BF4 multiplayer is easier to run. so i think that you could be ok at low settings but there will may be some frame drops when buildings are droping or big explosions are happening etc.

Sure, why not? My ISP is not enforcing bandwidth right now so it is unlimited, and I have the space to spare. I just hope it downloads fast.

30gb download for a this? Even for free, i won't touch it. I've played better CODs, don't want to tarnish my experience by playing it.

I have the game, and I don't play it anymore. It's the cod that I played least of all. I don't know, you take less hits than previous games, it just doesn't play like a decent cod multiplayer.

I don't play it either since I got BF4. I want to uninstall it since it's just sitting there raping 30GB's.

COD needs to die, and Titanfall is just the game to do it.
Nevertheless it's a free weekend and I want to see how the game will run on my 7750...

Please, Titanfall is a long way to go from killing COD. Not until it has more game modes than just multiplayer.

Titanfall is a carbon copy of cod, (without the jumping and titans obviously) but its more or less the same, the only game that killed cod was BATTLEFIELD

LOL Titanfall is made by the ex-cofounders of COD 4... Which set the foundation for COD as we know it today. Why do you think Titan feels exactly like cod
