You can probably fit the hype for the next round of DLC for the biggest shooter franchise in the world in a cracker. A really small cracker. Not a Christmas cracker but an altogether smaller cracker for a smaller celebration. Like a Friday.

It’s safe to say that Titanfall has come along and stolen much of Call of Duty’s thunder. Where gamers were previously psyched beyond all recognition to get their hands on a new warehouse to shoot things in, Call of Duty: Ghosts’ DLC campaign has arrived with a whimper. Still, Call of Duty: Ghosts - Devastation is here soon, packing new maps, a new Extinction episode and the obligatory new weapon…

As per a recurring pattern it’s the Extinction mode that’s stealing all the headlines, courtesy of a 100ft tall sea-dwelling boss, the Kraken. Episode 2: Mayday is the second additional chapter for the Extinction four-part narrative, introducing new crafting abilities and set aboard a Chinese vessel abandoned in the Pacific Ocean.

The second map-pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts will feature four small to medium-szed maps, comprising a Mayan temple, crashed container ship, a giant excavation digger and a desert-bound remake of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s Dome map. To complement the new maps there’s also a new two-in-one Ripper weapon, capable of functioning as both an SMG and an assault rifle at the flick of a button.

You ragtag bunch of Xbox players will be able to get your mitts on Call of Duty: Ghosts - Devastation come April 3rd, while everyone else will have to wait a further month or so.

Excited for the Devastation DLC?

Has Titanfall swept any remaining Call of Duty: Ghosts excitement?

I love Extinction! But i'm not that much into additional multiplayer maps, i got tired of Ghosts and went back to MW3 and BO2. If there would be a way to only buy extinction maps i would.

hahaha, video is blocked by Activision.
They can block their own failures. That is a good thing. Now start a new IP. COD had his time.
